Langsur (Germany). 1,862 runners from 41 nations crossed the finish line at the 32nd DEULUX-Lauf Run in Langsur and ran through Germany and Luxembourg. This is the fourth best result in the history of the cross-border run.
The highlight was provided by the two-times Olympic participant Charles Grethen. The Luxembourger improved the 10 km race record to 29:39 minutes. The old record had been held since 2001 by the Kenyan Wilson Chemweno with 29:54 minutes. Second-placed Vivien Henz was also faster with 29:45 minutes. The best German was Lennart Zehfeld from LC Rehlingen, who finished with a time of 30:16 minutes, just 35 seconds above the German U20 record.
For the women, Anny Wolter, an endurance athlete from the Grand Duchy, won in 36:08 minutes. It is the third Luxembourg double victory in a row. Anny Wolter has beaten the Hungarian Zsanett Moczo (36:26), who competes for Celtic Diekirch, and her compatriot Saskia Daguenet (36:48).
